Origins —

Every origin shipping this week, biggest first.
How to read this

vs normal (7-day view): these seven days against the average of the same days in up to four earlier years; within ±10% counts as normal. Badges are each region's season stage, from Tracked Regions.

Shipment Pace —

Where this week's supply is coming from — and whether it's heavy or light for the season.
Pricing —
Every FOB quote on the latest USDA report — all pack styles.
How to read this

vs last quote: against this line's own previous quote (a gap of days is shown).

YoY: against the nearest quote a year ago, within three weeks.

Wholesale asks at receiving markets, freight and markup included. Not comparable to FOB.

FOB Price History — —

The National FOB Average for this pack, over time.
How to read this

The median of every region's quote for this pack. Per-region lines are on the history page.

Today's Competing Regions — —

Where a buyer can source this pack today — each district's own latest quote, cheapest first.

Price Ladder — —

What this pack sells for at shipping point — and what terminal markets are asking for it, by origin.
How to read this

Each lane is one shipping-point district: its FOB price (blue), and terminal asks for product USDA says came from there (orange), joined by a dotted line. A fainter line means USDA named only the state, so the lot is read against that state's districts; hollow dots have no shipping-point price anywhere — Canada always.

How it's figured

Both sides are the same pack, color and size, conventional only (organic is left out). Each is its latest quote; a district silent for two weeks drops out. Same supply, not the same truck — nothing is taken out for freight or handling.

Truck Freight

Full Truckload Rates

What a reefer load costs to haul to each market, brokers' fees included — the same whatever it carries.
How it's figured

48–53 ft refrigerated trailers. Freight history is on the history page.

Weather

Tracked Regions —

The regions shipping this crop right now, ranked by volume — and the weather each one faces this week.
How to read this

Ranked by USDA shipments over the last 30 days, each region against its own average for the time of year. The season watch lists regions with 5%+ of US supply starting up, building or winding down in the next 30 and 30–60 days.

How it's figured

Flags use this crop's own frost and heat thresholds, heavy rain only, and wind at NWS advisory level — general guidance, not an agronomic call. Heat units: the University of Arizona method (single sine, 86°F cutoff) at the crop's base, against the same dates in the previous six years; Mexican station data (SMN) arrives about monthly, so its season to date lags.

Forecasts: NWS (US), Environment Canada, and ECMWF (Mexico, plus rain and wind everywhere).

Sources. Prices are USDA AMS Shipping Point (FOB) reports, covering 2 Jan 2020 – 16 Oct 2026. The latest FOB report is dated 16 Oct 2026; movement is current through the same date. USDA does not quote every district/pack combination every day, so day-over-day compares each series against its own most recent prior quote and labels the gap in days rather than assuming yesterday.

Known gaps. Canada has no Shipping Point price coverage. Full detail is on the history page.

* Standard pack weight assumed. USDA does not record a measured weight per lot, so $/lb figures are derived from the pack's nominal shipping-container weight, not an actual scale reading.
